Another brand I like is Hobie:
2020 HOBIE MIRAGE PRO ANGLER 12 WITH KICK-UP FINS
$3,739.00
Weight:126.00 LBS
Shipping:$311.00 (Fixed shipping cost)
I like the sport style the most followed by a close second a fishing style of kayak. I go online when I have down time when waiting in line somewhere and look at kayaks and boats. There is alot of ways to camping, or travel for a week, and fish when kayaking down the river or around the Florida area.
What are the top 4 places to go kayaking on the east coast?
Here are my top 4 places on the east because I been there.
1. Chesapeake Bay
Perhaps the most complicated body of water to maneuver in, the 4,500-square-mile bay provides deep pockets, jagged shorelines, and ample room to catch a trophy.
If you’re heading to the area, make sure to hit the Lower bay, where the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel provides the best fishing.
There are so many spots in and around the hampton roads area and I would suggest planning a trip or living in the hampton roads area. There is alot of parks and boat rams you can just about not go to far and find a spot you like if you find another busy with other fishermen.
2. Tyger River
Another staple of the South, this South Carolina river flows through Sumter National Forest at a depth of two to six feet.
3. Indian River Lagoon
Snag yourself a Bull Red Drum, Gator Speckled Trout, or Tarpon in one of the IRL’s three fantastic Florida members.
4. St. Michaels, Maryland
Fronting the Chesapeake Bay, St. Michaels is a low-key escape just a quick hop from D.C., Philly, and Baltimore. The is plenty of room to kayak and fishing and explore the scenery near me.
What is whitewater kayaking?
“Whitewater kayaking is the sport of paddling a kayak on a moving body of water, typically a whitewater river. Whitewater kayaking can range from active, moving water, to demanding, extreme whitewater.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitewater_kayaking
A good river near Richmond, Virginia to go whitewater Kayaking is the James River, you should use a class II style of kayak.
What is a good age to get started in kayaking?
When I thought about this question to write about I was thinking there would be a quick answer. I find some good suggests by many different authors online.
Here is my answer to the question I asked, 4-7 years old. It really depends on where you plan on taking your family or your children. When you plan on taking your children things to consider is:
“Destination tips:
- Choose places with lots of variety.
- Know what you are getting into. Study tides, currents and boat traffic with the kids ahead of time. When these conditions are encountered, your kids are proud to call them out and you all feel safer together.
- Know to the best of your ability where bathroom breaks will be. This is especially important with young children.
- To find a kid-friendly paddling destination, talk to experienced paddlers or the paddling experts at your local REI. You might also try your local paddling association, as well as for your state parks commission or park service websites.” https://www.rei.com/learn/expert-advice/kayaking-with-kids.html
When I take my family boating it fun when I get to see my children enjoy the outdoors like I do. When I was a kid camping when my parents were taking a couple trip somewhere, I always find myself boating and fishing on the lake at the camp ground.
